You are right- there has definitely been collateral damage from lockdowns- no questions.
But can you even begin to imagine the horrific scenarios in hospitals, even in first world countries, if there were no lockdowns and the virus was allowed to spread? The hospitals would be absolutely overwhelmed with sick and dying. Not to mention the strain on society in general?
The collateral damage from NOT locking down would be exponentially worse.
